Principal, Client Strategy
Dr. Bryan Dutson
Business operator and analyst who builds each client's tax plan around their goals, and models the tax and cash-flow consequences of a decision before it is made.
Bryan leads client strategy at the firm. He is a business operator, and his work starts with the person rather than the product: what they earn, what they own, what they are trying to build, and what they need over the next decade. The plan follows from that, not the other way around.
He is, first and foremost, an analyst. When a client is weighing a transaction, he models its tax consequences alongside the effect on cash flow and liquidity, and how one decision changes the next, so the client sees the consequences before committing rather than after.
Over his career Bryan has analyzed hundreds of tax-advantaged investments. That volume matters. He knows where the tax assumptions in an offering tend to be weakest: usability limits nobody modeled, documentation that will not survive review, and projections that ignore the client's actual income. Whether to invest remains the client's decision, made with their own investment professionals.
