The deliverable is a document. If it is not clear, complete, and defensible years later, the work behind it does not count for much.
What you would own
- 01Draft the written strategy for each engagement: the sequence, the reasoning, the timing, and the dependencies
- 02Maintain the substantiation file behind each position, with authority cited at the time
- 03Keep the firm's language consistent, including the boundaries on what we can and cannot say
- 04Contribute to published Insights, which is how the firm demonstrates what it knows
What we are looking for
- Excellent, precise writing. Plain sentences about complicated things
- Enough technical grounding to write about tax accurately, or the ability to build it fast
- Discipline about claims. You will be the last check on anything overstated
Useful, not required
- Background in tax, law, financial journalism, or technical writing
- Editorial experience in a regulated field
